Das Maple : A peek into the software

Welcome! Welcome, to this humble little blog which objective to introduce or even teach the readers on what is Maple is. Now, it's not about the leaf, syrup or even the tree. It is about a Maple, a software that is a very powerful computer algebra system. It is widely used by students, educators, mathematicians, statisticians, scientists, and engineers for doing numerical and symbolic computation.

Yes, I know some might say "I am not a math wizard" or "I'm not going to do math, man." but, what are the odds? Nevertheless, learning new things can give you the edge in your study and future.

Now, lets take a look at some features of this software :

Comprehensive Mathematics
The Maple computation engine
combines high-performance numeric
computations with world-leading
symbolic capabilities.

Differential Equation
Maple can solve differential
equations problems no other
system can handle.

Symbolic and Numeric
Math
The Maple computation engine combines
high-performance numeric computations
with world-leading symbolic capabilities.

Equation Solving
Maple can solve a wide range of
 equations and systems of equations

There are some books published either in hardcopy or softcopy(PDF form) on how to Maple. Such books are :

If reading is not your cup of tea, here are some videos by these dedicated man and woman to make sure that Maple is fully understood by its user.

Oh yeah, this NOT a free software. It is rare to see such complex and very useful tool to become free nowadays BUT, try to visit your local cybercafé, university's computer lab and other public places. I'm sure you can access this software freely without a single penny spent. If you are eagerly to get hold of this wonderful software, you can get it from this website : http://www.maplesoft.com/index.aspx
